Mission: create a bold campaign to challenge the toxic stereotypeS that MISREPRESENTS asian american women IN SOCIETY.
Asian American women lack representation in the beauty industry and are often plagued by toxic stereotypes. The advertising objective is to disrupt the toxicity behind negative stereotypes of Asian American women portrayed through the mass media by using LUSH beauty products to contradict the social norm.
In this execution, we wanted to challenge the "china doll" stereotype by washing away the stereotype to reveal the different identities in Asian women.
In this execution we wanted to bring to light how Asian women are sexualized and objectified in mainstream music by creating a microsite that features Asian women singing these ridiculous song lyrics.
